ClanBase is proud to announce the start of the Spring 2012 Cup Season. Signups are due to open on Sunday the 11th of March. However, as a little teaser please feel free to preview which cups we plan to run this season...

What is the Spring 2012 Cup Season?

ClanBase hosts two kind of cups, OpenCups and EuroCups (often abbreviated to OC's and EC's respectively) starting in April and ending mid summer (towards the end of June).

EuroCups are invite only cups, with the top teams from the communities being invited, while OpenCups are open to everyone. This season we plan to run cups for 16 games, 4 EuroCups and 43 OpenCups.

Signup Information

Signups will be opened on Sunday the 11th of March and you will be able to signup via the cup pages and the Signup page found in your admin link. To signup as a team to ClanBase cups you will need to be part of a clan, for 1vs1 cups you will need to set up a 1on1 personality. For more information please read our FAQ.

After the success with #et.6on6, we have decided to expand with some new channels. We figured that since there are already channels such as #et.gather and #et.merc that it would make sense to keep this format for simplicity. Today, we introduce to you not one but two new channels...

As some of you may know, Kamz previously founded the first clanless ET channel which was very successful. The channel is now revived because of the current state of the game and an increased amount of people searching for teams in proportion with the number of active players. He has spent the last few days tirelessly editing and tweaking his script and there will now be a bot in the channel for people to use.

With regards to #et.3on3, we thought that it seems senseless to have every other war/merc/clanless/gather channel with #et.* and then only 3on3.et without it so this channel was created and hopefully proves to be standard. This channel will be kept cheater-free as much as possible unlike the old one which nobody moderates and even one of the owners was on the TZAC list.

A new tournament site is just around the corner, it goes by the name of Jowst! For those of you who love the functionality of other tournament sites such as tourney.cc but are tired of seeing its dated look and are looking for extra features to help run your tournament or play tournaments, then look no further!

Tonight the first match of ClanBase Nation Cup XV will be played. It will feature one of the favorites ,Team Germany. They are going to play against Team Hungary. I made this news last minutes so it doesn't contain that much but expect a full review of the game tomorrow for the people that can't see it tonight.

The maps Supply and Bremen_b3 are forced and will be played.

Germany:
Team Germany has such a strong line up that you can't go wrong with spectating tonight. Some of the fanboys want to go for  Butchji, the allstar that is just back after a long break.  Butchji isn't the only german powerhouse this line up also includes  KRESTi and  Bl4d3 those players will pick up the frags aswell.

Hungary:
It will be interesting to see how  nonix performs after his return from a big break, personally I haven't heard of him since I'm new school but lucky  Fumble contacted.
